His Excellency Mr. Jacques Santer, President of the European Commission, accompanied by a suite, will arrive in Japan on September 30, will pay an official visit to Japan from October 2 to 5, I996.
During his stay in Japan, the President of the European Commission will be received in audience by His Majesty The Emperor.
His Majesty The Emperor will host a Court Luncheon in honor of the President of the European Commission.
The President of the European Commission will have official talks with the Prime Minister of Japan.
The Prime Minister of Japan will host a Dinner in honor of the President of the European Commission.
The Government of Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of the President of the European Commission, which will further strengthen the friendly relations existing between Japan and the European Union.
