Visit to Japan by His Excellency Dr. Roman Herzog, President of the Federal Republic of Germany, and Mrs. Herzog

His Excellency Dr. Roman Herzog, President of the Federal Republic of Germany, and Mrs. Herzog, accompanied by a suite, will pay a State Visit to Japan from April 5 to 9, 1997, and will leave Japan on 10.

During their stay in Japan, the President and Mrs. Herzog will make a State Call on Their Majesties The Emperor and Empress of Japan.

Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress will host a State Dinner in honor of the President and Mrs. Herzog.

The President will have a meeting with the Prime Minister of Japan.

The Prime Minister and Mrs. Hashimoto will host a Luncheon in honor of the President and Mrs. Herzog.

The Government of Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of the President and Mrs. Herzog, which will further strengthen the friendly relations existing between Japan and the Federal Republic of Germany.
