Visit to Japan by Mr. Alberto Fujimori, President of the Republic of Peru

- Mr. Alberto Fujimori, President of the Republic of Peru, accompanied by the Foreign Minister and a suite, will visit Japan from November 13 (Wed.) to 14 (Thu.) as a part of his visit to Asian countries.
- During his stay in Japan, Mr. Fujimori will have talks with Prime Minister Ryutaro Hashimoto.
- Mr. Fujimori has succeeded in recovering the rule of law, controlling inflation, etc., since his inauguration in July 1990. In his second term administration from July 1995, he has been engaged in maintaining economic growth and solving social problems such as poverty and unemployment.
- Mr. Fujimori has visited Japan in seven consecutive years since 1990. Mr. Hashimoto visited Peru in August this year, and Mr. Fujimori's forthcoming visit is considered to contribute to further promoting friendly cooperative relations between Japan and Peru.
