Workshop on Countering Radicalization

- Japan and Malaysia will co-host the "Workshop on Countering Radicalization" in Tokyo on February 4 and 5, 2013.
- The Workshop will bring together officials involved in counter-terrorism efforts officials from ASEAN member states capitals and other major ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) member states to reflect upon common challenges in countering radicalization. On behalf of Japan, H.E. Mr. Osamu Imai, Ambassador in charge of International Cooperation for Countering Terrorism and International Organized Crime and Ambassador in charge of Cyber Policy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan will attend the workshop.
- This Workshop will address counter-radicalization issue, which attracts broad attention in connection with counter-terrorism efforts. Participants will share the knowledge of Speakers from relevant countries and International organization as well as each country's lessons learned. It is believed that this Workshop will promote efforts by the international community to counter terrorism.
