Acceptance of Relief Supplies from Ukraine

  1. In response to the Great East Japan Earthquake, a flight loaded with relief supplies from Ukraine arrived at Narita Airport on Thursday, August 4.

  2. The supplies consist of 1,000 dosimeters-radiometers and 1,000 personal dosimeters made in Ukraine, and 1,000 gas masks with additional gas mask filter. These materials are to be put into use through the Nuclear Emergency Response Headquarters after the handover ceremony at the Headquarters on Tuesday, August 9.

  3. This assistance follows the dispatch of about 2,000 blankets which arrived in Japan on March 17. The Government of Japan deeply appreciates the assistance to date by the Government of the Ukraine.
