- In response to the Great East Japan Earthquake, the Government of the Republic of Kiribati donated 50,000 Australian dollars (approx. 4.25 million yen) as relief money for Japan.
- We also received a letter of sympathy from H.E. Mr. Anote Tong, President of the Republic of Kiribati.
- The Government of Japan deeply appreciates sympathy and the assistance extended by the Government of the Republic of Kiribati and its people.
