Acceptance of Emergency Relief Supplies from the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) (Arrival of the Second Dispatch)

- In response to the Great East Japan Earthquake, the relief supplies offered from the Government of the HKSAR arrived on the morning of Tuesday, April 19, 2011 (*).
- This assistance forms a part of the total assistance of 5 million HK dollars which the Government of the HKSAR has expressed. The second dispatch of relief supplies, which consists of approximately 10,000 cans of food (chicken noodle soup), will be sent to Iwaki City in Fukushima Prefecture, following the first dispatch (approximately 20,000 cans of food) on Saturday, April 9.
- The Government of Japan deeply appreciates the cooperation of the Government of the HKSAR.
*The flight (CX006) loaded with the relief supplies arrived at Narita Airport at 06:25 on Tuesday, April 19.
