- In response to the Great East Japan Earthquake, a flight loaded with nuclear related equipment (radiation survey meters, protective mask etc.) is scheduled to arrive at Narita Airport on the morning of April 13.
- The Government of the United Kingdom dispatched a rescue team to Iwate Prefecture immediately after the disaster. It also offered 100 tons of drinking water to Ibaraki Prefecture. The Government of United Kingdom also provided nuclear related equipment (radiation survey meters, protective mask etc.) on April 2. The Government of Japan deeply appreciates the cooperation to date by the Government of the United Kingdom.
