- On Tuesday, March 29, the Government of the Sultanate of Oman offered a donation of 10 million US dollars to the Japanese Red Cross Society in response to the Tohoku - Pacific Ocean Earthquake.
- From Oman, His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said, Sultan of Oman, His Highness Sayyd Haithem bin Tariq Al-Said, Minister of National Heritage and Culture, His Excellency Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Omar Abdul Munim Al-Zawawi, Special Advisor to H.M. the Sultan for External, Her Excellency Rawya bint Saud bin Ahmed Al Busaidiyah, Minister of Higher Education and many others also sent the letters and messages of sympathy and condolences to the Government of Japan.
