- In response to the Tohoku - Pacific Ocean earthquake, a flight loaded with 100 tons of drinking water offered by the Government of the United Kingdom is scheduled to arrive at Narita Airport on the evening of March 28.
- After arriving at Narita Airport, the drinking water will be delivered to and distributed in Ibaraki Prefecture.
- The Government of the United Kingdom dispatched a rescue team, consisted of 77 personnel, to Iwate Prefecture immediately after the disaster. The Government of Japan deeply appreciates the cooperation to date by the Government of the United Kingdom.
