- On Sunday, March 13, in response to the Tohoku district-off the Pacific Ocean Earthquake, the Government of Estonia announced that the Government will provide relief money of 200,000 euro (about 23 million yen) to Japan.
- From the Republic of Estonia, letters of sympathy was sent from H.E. Mr. Toomas Hendrik Ilves, President of the Republic of Estonia.
- The Prime Minister Mr. Andrus Ansip and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Urmas Paet (through March 16 to 17) wrote a message in a condolence book at the Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Estonia. The Government of Japan deeply appreciates a sense of solidarity expressed and assistance extended by the Government of the Republic of Estonia and the people of the Republic of Estonia.
