Donation of Relief Money from Gabon

- In response to the Tohoku – Pacific Ocean Earthquake, the Government of the Gabonese Republic announced that it will donate 1 million USD (approx. 80 million JPY) as relief money to the Japanese Red Cross Society.
- From Gabon, letters of condolences and sympathy were sent from H.E. Mr. Ali Bongo Ondimba, President of Gabon, and H.E. Mr. Biyoghe Mba, Prime Minister of Gabon. In addition, words of sympathy and support have been extended at various levels. On Thursday, March 17, H.E. Mr. Paul Toungui, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Francophonie of Gabon, extended words of sympathy to Mr. Motoi Kato, Ambassador of Japan to Gabon, and proposed assistance for Japan.
