- In response to the Tohoku - Pacific Ocean Earthquake, the Government of the French Republic offered provision of 8,000 blankets, in addition to the dispatch of its rescue team immediately after the earthquake.
- The blankets arrived at Kansai International Airport on Saturday, March 19, and will be sent to the disaster-stricken regions in Miyagi Prefecture and Yamagata Prefecture, based on the needs of those who suffered from the earthquake.
- The Government of Japan deeply appreciates the cooperation of the Government of the French Republic.
