  1. In response to the Tohoku - Pacific Ocean Earthquake, the Government of the French Republic offered provision of 8,000 blankets, in addition to the dispatch of its rescue team immediately after the earthquake.

  2. The blankets arrived at Kansai International Airport on Saturday, March 19, and will be sent to the disaster-stricken regions in Miyagi Prefecture and Yamagata Prefecture, based on the needs of those who suffered from the earthquake.

  3. The Government of Japan deeply appreciates the cooperation of the Government of the French Republic.
