Emergency Assistance to the heavy rain disaster in the Republic of Honduras

On Thursday, October 20, the Government of Japan decided to provide emergency relief goods (blankets, sleeping pads, etc.) worth 13 million JPY to the Republic of Honduras through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) following the heavy rain disaster, upon the request by the Government of Honduras, from a humanitarian point of view for people affected by the disaster and in light of the friendly relations between the two nations.

  2. As of October 19, the disaster has left more than 57,000 victims and 13 people dead, causing damages to bridges, roads, houses and other infrastructures.
