In the evening of August 7 local time (early in the morning of August 8 Japan time), in response to the disastrous floods in the region of Kashmir, Mr. Katsuya Okada, Minister for Foreign Affairs, dispatched a message to Mr. S.M. Krishna, Minister of External Affairs of India, in which he expressed his deepest condolences to the victims and their bereaved families, as well as sympathy to those who were affected.
