On August 2, in response to the disastrous floods in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which have caused serious damage to the country with the loss of many lives, Mr. Katsuya Okada, Minister for Foreign Affairs has dispatched his message to H.E. Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, in which he expressed deepest condolences to the victims and their bereaved families, as well as sympathy to those who are affected, and stated Japan’s readiness to provide necessary support, according to the request from the country.
