Japan’s Cooperation on an Initiative by Mr. Ban Ki-Moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations, Concerning Climate Change

On March 4 (Thu) (New York time), the United Nations announced that Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has selected the members of the High-Level Advisory Group on Climate Change Financing, the establishment of which was announced by the Secretary-General on February 12. Mr. Mutsuyoshi Nishimura, Special Advisor to the Cabinet, will be participating in this advisory group from Japan.
The Government of Japan welcomes this initiative by Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon and intends to proactively contribute to such efforts by continuing to seek establishment of a fair and effective framework in which all major economies participate.
