- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, in cooperation with organization
related to the United Nations (UN), is running an outreach campaign entitled
“Together
with the UN” from this January to deepen the public understanding on
various activities of the UN as well as the relationship between Japan and
the UN. As part of this campaign, the “Together with the UN” e-bulletin
(in Japanese) was launched today.
- This weekly e-bulletin features up-to-date information about UN-related
events and news. In addition, the “Together with the UN” interview section
carries interviews conducted by college students participating in Model
UN with top figures from UN-related organizations, including representatives
to Japan from UN organizations (the first issue features an interview with
Mr. Shunichi Murata, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Representative
to Japan). The e-bulletin also involves other UN-related information about
the various occasions, such as international days established by the UN.
- To sign up for the e-bulletin, please send an e-mail with the title/subject of “Register” to soukokuki@mofa.go.jp (note: e-mail cannot be accepted from mobile phones). You will receive the next issue as it is released.
