Statement by the Press Secretary/Director-General for Press and Public Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the Attack on the US Embassy in Yemen

- The Government of Japan is deeply shocked and greatly angered by the
attack on the U.S. Embassy in San’a, Yemen, by an armed group using car
bombs and other weapons, killing and injuring many people. The Government
of Japan expresses its deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the
victims and their bereaved families, and to the many people who were injured
by this attack.
- Terrorism cannot be justified for any reason, and the Government of Japan firmly condemns such heinous act of terrorism that victimizes many innocent people.
