Statement by the Press Secretary/ Director-General for Press and Public Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Successive Bomb Attacks in Istanbul

The Government of Japan expresses its condolences to those who were killed in the two successive bomb attacks which occurred in Istanbul on July 27, and to their bereaved families. It also expresses its sympathy for those injured.
Terrorism cannot be justified by any reason whatsoever. Japan firmly condemns atrocious terrorist acts that victimize many innocent people, and is resolved to continue its fight to eliminate terrorism, in cooperation with the Government of Turkey and the international community.
