Result of the Entries for the Second International MANGA Award

  1. By the deadline for the Second International MANGA Award (the end of February),  there were 368 entries from 46 countries and regions, which is 222 more entries and 22 more countries and regions (an increase of approximately 2.5 times) from the First International MANGA Award.

  1.  The first screening took place on April 9 (Wed).  The screening committee will meet and decide the winners around July this year.  The Golden Prize will be given to the best work and the Silver Prize to three distinguished runners-up.  In addition, taking the opportunity of the award presentation ceremony to be held in Tokyo in September this year, the Japan Foundation will invite the winners for a ten-day visit that includes meetings with Japanese manga artists and courtesy calls on publishers.
