Announcement of Report on Goal 8 of the Millennium Development Goals, "BUILDING GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS FOR DEVELOPMENT: Japan's Contribution to MDG 8"

  1. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on September 9 a report on Goal 8 of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), entitled "BUILDING GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS FOR DEVELOPMENT: Japan's Contribution to MDG 8" (English)[PDF].
  2. The report will be distributed at the High-level Plenary Meeting of the United Nations to be held on September 14 - 16 in New York to make Japan's contribution toward achieving the MDGs widely known.
  3. The report consists of three chapters: Chapter 1: ODA; Chapter 2: Trade, FDI and OOFs; and Chapter 3: Debt Relief. It compiles and describes Japan's contribution from the 1990s to the present in terms of the indicators stipulated in Goal 8 and related issues.
