Statement by the Press Secretary/Director-General for Press and Public Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the Adoption of a Resolution concerning Iran's Nuclear Issue at the Special Meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors

- Japan welcomes the adoption without a vote of resolution concerning Iran's nuclear issue on August 11 at the Special Meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors held in Vienna sending a clear and unified message of the international community. Japan also deems it extremely important for Iran to take this resolution seriously and respond to it sincerely.
- Japan continues to strongly urge Iran to implement sincerely all the requirements of the relevant IAEA resolutions including the suspension of all uranium enrichment-related and reprocessing activities without exception, including uranium conversion activities.
