On April 30, commencing at 4:00 p.m. local time (April 30 at 11:00 p.m. Japan time) for 50 minutes, Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, during his vist to Zambia, visited Hitachi Construction Machinery Zambia (HCMZ). HCMZ provides operations related to the maintenance, servicing, and remanufacturing of mining and construction machinery.

Minister MOTEGI guided by local Japanese representatives and other officials, toured the recycling plant’s processing facilities and storage warehouses for recycled parts. Minister MOTEGI observed the company’s 15 year history of contribution to the mining sector in Zambia, neighboring countries and active engagement in training construction equipment operators its proactive efforts in training construction machinery operators, as well as policy directions related to mineral resource development in Zambia and business opportunities for Japanese companies.
