Foreign Minister MOTEGI’s Luncheon meeting with Japanese business representatives in Kenya

On May 3, commencing at 12:30 a.m. local time (6:30 p.m. on same day, Japan time) for 45 minutes, Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, attended a luncheon meeting with representatives from Japanese companies based in Kenya during his visit to Kenya.
- At the outset, Minister MOTEGI highlighted the importance of Kenya in Japan-Africa cooperation and expressed his respect for representatives of Japanese companies active in various sectors in Kenya, including infrastructure, manufacturing, logistics and finance.
- Participants then provided an overview of the challenges and prospects for business in Kenya. In response, Minister MOTEGI stated that the Japanese government intends to support the activities of Japanese companies, and the meeting concluded in a cordial atmosphere.
