Dispatch of a Special Envoy of the Prime Minister for the Inauguration Ceremony of the President of the Republic of Kenya

Following the confirmation of the result of the Presidential Election of the Republic of Kenya, which was held in August, the Presidential Inauguration Ceremony for H.E. Dr. William Samoei RUTO, President of the Republic of Kenya will be held on September 13.
Considering the importance of the bilateral relationship between Japan and Kenya, the Government of Japan has decided to dispatch Mr. MAKIHARA Hideki, a Member of the House of Representatives of Japan and Secretary-General of Japan-African Union (AU) Parliamentary Friendship League, as Special Envoy of Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio, to Kenya to attend the ceremony.
With this dispatch, Japan wishes to offer its congratulations on the inauguration of President RUTO and further promote the cordial and cooperative relationship between Japan and Kenya including TICAD8 follow-ups.
