Dinner with Japanese residents and business representatives in Madagascar


On April 27, commencing at 7:00 pm local time (April 28, 1:00am JST) for approximately 90 minutes, Ms. KAMIKAWA Yoko, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, who is visiting the Republic of Madagascar, attended a dinner with Japanese residents in Madagascar, including representatives from Japanese companies.
Minister Kamikawa, referring to the purpose of this visit, stated that the current friendly relations between the two countries are the result of the daily activities of Japanese residents in Madagascar, and expressed her respect for them.
Minister Kamikawa then exchanged views on the current situation and future challenges of the two countries in such areas as business and development cooperation, and confirmed that she would cooperate with the participants to further promote the bilateral relations.
