Dispatch of Special Envoy of the Prime Minister for the Inauguration Ceremonies of the President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the President of the Republic of Liberia

The Government of Japan decided to dispatch Mr. FUKAZAWA Yoichi, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, as Special Envoy of Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio, in order to attend the Inauguration Ceremonies of the President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the President of the Republic of Liberia on 20 January and 22 January respectively.
- The Presidential Inauguration Ceremony for H.E. Mr. Félix Antoine TSHISEKEDI TSHILOMBO will be held on 20 January, following the result of the Presidential Election held in the DRC in December last year. Shortly after that, the Presidential Inauguration Ceremony for H.E. Mr. Joseph Nyumah BOAKAI will be held on 22 January as well, following the result of the Presidential Election of Liberia last October and November.
- Considering the importance of the bilateral relationship between Japan and the DRC and that between Japan and the Republic of Liberia, the Government of Japan has decided to dispatch Mr. FUKAZAWA Yoichi, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, as Special Envoy of Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio, to the DRC and the Republic of Liberia. With this dispatch, Japan wishes to express its congratulations on the inaugurations of Presidents of both countries and further promote the cordial and cooperative relationship between Japan and the both countries.
