Prime Minister Abe Visits the Japan-Africa Business EXPO



1. On Wednesday, August 28, commencing at 13:50 for about 15 minutes, Mr. Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan toured the Japan-Africa Business Expo (Africa Lounge and Japan Fair) organized by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), one of the side events of the Seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD7).
2. Prime Minister Abe visited the exhibition booth of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the Africa Lounge, together with H.E. Mr. Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt and Mr. Masahisa Sato, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Yoshihiro Seki State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry and toured the exhibition on investment environment in Egypt and Egyptian companies. Then, they moved to the Japan Fair, where products, technologies and services by Japanese companies are showcased. They visited exhibitions of Japanese companies operating in Africa, zoned by category such as improvement of health issues, listening to explanations about their activities and exhibited products.
