Dispatch of Special Envoy of the Prime Minister for the Inauguration Ceremony of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

The Government of Japan decided to dispatch Mr. TANAKA Kazunori, a Member of the House of Representatives of Japan and President of Japan-Nigeria Parliamentary Friendship League, as Special Envoy of Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio, in order to attend the Inauguration Ceremony for the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on May 29.
- Following the result of the presidential election of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which was held in February this year, the Inauguration Ceremony for His Excellency Mr. Bola TINUBU, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, will be held on May 29.
- Considering the importance of the bilateral relationship between Japan and Nigeria, the Government of Japan has decided to dispatch Mr. TANAKA Kazunori, a Member of the House of Representatives of Japan and President of Japan-Nigeria Parliamentary Friendship League, as Special Envoy of Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio, to the Federal Republic of Nigeria to attend the ceremony.
- With this dispatch, Japan wishes to offer its congratulations on the inauguration of President TINUBU and further promote the cordial and cooperative relationship between Japan and Nigeria.
