Letter of condolence by Prime Minister SUGA Yoshihide on the passing of H.E. Mr. Hamed BAKAYOKO, Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire

On March 11, 2021, Prime Minister SUGA Yoshihide sent a letter of condolence to H.E. Mr. Alassane OUATTARA, President of the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire, on the passing of H.E. Mr. Hamed BAKAYOKO, Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire, on March 10. The content of the letter is as follows:
Excellency,
Following the sudden passing of H.E. Mr. Hamed Bakayoko, Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire, I would like to express, on behalf of the Government and people of Japan, my sincere condolences to the bereaved family of Prime Minister Bakayoko, as well as the Government and people of the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire.
I solemnly pray for the repose of the soul of Prime Minister Bakayoko, who made significant contribution to the development of the partnership between Japan and the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire.
In the painful ordeal that the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire is going through at this time, immersed in profound sadness, Japan remains in solidarity with the people of the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire.
Please accept my deepest and most sincere condolences and the expression of my highest consideration.
