Foreign Minister MOTEGI’s Talk with Foreign Minister Wong of Australia

On September 22, around at 2:30 p.m. local time, Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, who is visiting New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly, held a brief talk with Senator the Hon. Penny Wong, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of Australia. This talk was held on the occasion of the 12th Ministerial Meeting of the Friends of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT).
- At the outset, Minister MOTEGI expressed his views on the current international situation, and the two ministers concurred to continue close cooperation between like-minded countries.
- The two ministers confirmed that they would continue to maintain close communication to further strengthen bilateral relations.
