On December 24, commencing at 8:25 am, for approximately 15 minutes, Prime Minister ISHIBA Shigeru, received a courtesy call from the Japan Australia Business Co-operation Committee chaired by Mr. HIROSE Michiaki, Senior Corporate Advisor, Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd.. The overview of the courtesy is as follows.

  1. Mr. HIROSE reported on the outcomes of the 61st Australia-Japan Annual Joint Business Conference held in Nagoya in October 2024, as well as their future activities, including the Joint Statement issued at the conference.
  2. PM Ishiba extended his appreciation for the significant contribution of the Japan-Australia Business Co-operation Committee to mutual understanding and goodwill for the business communities of the two countries. And he also expressed his anticipation that the committee would keep contributing to further development of the bilateral relationship.
