State Minister for Foreign Affairs HORII Iwao's attendance at the memorial event following the shooting in Sydney, Australia

On December 18, from 5:30 pm for approximately 20 minutes, Mr. HORII Iwao, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, attended a memorial event at the Embassy of Israel in Japan, held in response to the mass shooting that occurred on December 14 at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, targeting the Jewish community during a Jewish celebration.
State Minister Horii expressed deep sympathy and condolences and stated that such brutal terrorist acts targeting specific communities cannot be tolerated under any circumstances. He also stated that Japan will continue to play its part in eradicating terrorism.
