Courtesy Call on Acting President CHOI Sang-mok by Foreign Minister Iwaya

On January 14, commencing at 1:00 p.m. for approximately 30 minutes, Mr. IWAYA Takeshi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, during his visit to Seoul, ROK, paid a courtesy call on Mr. CHOI Sang-mok, Acting President (Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance). The overview is as follows.
- Foreign Minister Iwaya extended his sympathies on the airplane accident which occurred in Muan International Airport in the ROK at the end of last year. He also appraised the ROK government for maintaining their tone to further develop amicable Japan-ROK relations.
- Foreign Minister Iwaya and Acting President CHOI concurred on ensuring close communication between the Japanese and the ROK governments, and confirmed on further developing Japan-ROK relations for the future.
