Japan-ROK Foreign Ministers’ Telephone Talk
On November 29, commencing at 4:40 p.m. for approximately 20 minutes, Mr. Taro Kono, Minister for Foreign Affairs, held a Telephone Talk with H.E. Ms. Kang Kyung-wha, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (ROK). The overview of the telephone talk is as follows.
With regard to North Korea, the two foreign ministers shared the view that a greater role by China is particularly important, that Japan, the ROK and the United States would work closely to coordinate on further strengthening of pressure on North Korea, and that Japan and the ROK would cooperate closely in the Security Council.
