On May 23, Ms. TAKAICHI Sanae, Prime Minister of Japan, delivered her message to H.E. Mr. Xi Jinping, President of China and H.E. Mr. Li Qiang, State Council Premier of China, following the gas explosion that occurred at a coal mine in Shanxi Province, China, at around 8:30 p.m. on May 22 (around 7:30 p.m. local time), and expressed her condolences to those who lost their lives and bereaved families and her sympathies to the affected people, praying for the rescue of as many people as possible and the speedy recovery of those who were injured.
