Visit to Japan of Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor of the Interim Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh

Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor of the Interim Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, will pay an Official Working Visit to Japan from May 28 to 31.
- During his stay in Japan, Mr. ISHIBA Shigeru, Prime Minister of Japan, will hold a Japan-Bangladesh Summit Meeting with Chief Advisor Dr. Yunus. Chief Advisor Dr. Yunus will also attend the Nikkei Forum 30th "Future of Asia."
- This visit is expected to further strengthen the friendly relations between Japan and Bangladesh.

- This will be Dr. Yunus’s first visit to Japan as Chief Advisor.
- Dr. Yunus has visited Japan multiple times, including the visit to attend the 2004 Nikkei Asia Prize award ceremony and the participation in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Opinion Leader Invitation Program in 2007.
