Statement by Prime Minister ISHIBA Shigeru on Their Majesties’ Visit to Mongolia
I am pleased to announce that Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress will pay a State Visit to Mongolia.
Japan has long enjoyed close and cordial relations with Mongolia. Mongolia has long extended its invitation for Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress to visit Mongolia, and His Excellency Mr. Ukhnaa KHURELSUKH, President of Mongolia, kindly renewed the invitation for Their Majesties on the occasion of his visit to Japan with his spouse in November 2022.
I am convinced that Their Majesties’ visit will further strengthen the cordial relations of friendship and goodwill with Mongolia, and I feel immense pleasure together with the people of Japan.
I would like to express my wholehearted wish for Their Majesties’ pleasant journey and safe return home.
