    APEC (Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation) activities are strongly supported by business people. APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC), composed of prominent business people from APEC economies, is actively working for that purpose.

    From 13 to 16 May, 2003, ABAC meeting was held in Tokyo. On that occasion, the Government of Japan and ABAC Japan organized a symposium on APEC.
