Study Tour by Foreign Services to Japan (Visits to Fukushima Prefecture)

- From Wednesday, October 26 to Thursday, October 27, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan will hold a Study Tour to Fukushima Prefecture by foreign services to Japan from various countries, in conjunction with Fukushima prefecture.
- This Study Tour by the foreign services to Japan have been held jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and local governments, in order to showcase regional attractions such as cultures and industries for them. This fiscal year the Study Tour will be held in Fukushima Prefecture from the standpoint of promoting tourism, countering harmful rumors and supporting the rebuilding of disaster-affected areas following the Great East Japan Earthquake.
- In the Study Tour, the foreign services to Japan will become familiar with the current situation with regard to the reconstruction of disaster-affected areas. Additionally, in order to rediscover the appeal of the prefectures, they are scheduled to visit Aquamarine Fukushima, Hideyo Noguchi Memorial Hall, Tsuruga-jo Castle as well as holding exchanges with local high school students.
