APEC Japan 2010 Concluding Senior Officials’ Meeting (CSOM) to Be Held

1. Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Concluding Senior Officials’ Meeting (CSOM) will be held on November 7 (Sun) and 8 (Mon) at Pacifico Yokohama in Yokohama city. (See the attachment(PDF) for the program.)
   
   
2. (1) Senior officials from member economies will attend the meeting, which will be chaired by Mr. Shigeru Nakamura, Ambassador for International Economic Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Hidehiko Nishiyama, Director-General for Trade Policy Bureau, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Mr. Kenji Hiramatsu, Deputy Director-General, Economic Affairs Bureau, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Makoto Shiota, Deputy Director-General for International Regional Policy, Trade Policy Bureau, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, will also attend as senior officials representing Japan.
   
   (2) This meeting will be the fourth official session to be hosted by Japan as the chair of APEC 2010, and it will wrap up discussions conducted so far toward the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting and Ministerial Meeting to be held in next week.
