Opening Ceremony to Be Held for APEC JAPAN EXHIBITION “JAPAN EXPERIENCE ˜ Ideas into Realty˜”

  1. The Government of Japan will hold an exhibition titled “JAPAN EXPERIENCE ~ Ideas into Realty~” (refer to the material attached(PDF)) at the Exhibition Hall, Pacifico Yokohama from November 6 (Sat) to November 14 (Sun) on the sidelines of the 18th APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting.  An opening ceremony hosted by Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshito Sengoku will be held from 3 p.m. on November 6 (Sat).

  2. This event will provide the opportunity for delegates and media personnel from the 21 APEC Member Economies to see, touch, and feel “Japan's strengths” reflecting the essence of globally leading Japanese technologies.

  3. This event consists of three parts: 1) “The Gallery” where visitors can experience our country's cutting-edge technologies contributing to resolving economic and social problems and to realizing prosperous communities and lives, 2) “The Guesthouse” which will display “Japan's manufacturing power” to generate unique functions and novel designs, and 3) “The Garden” which will provide space of relaxation integrating Japan's traditions and state-of-the-art technologies.

  4. This event will introduce Japan’s various capabilities and attractions in a multifaceted approach in collaboration with other organizations.  The country's various tourism attractions are introduced by the Japan Tourism Agency.  The advance initiatives on environment and other information on the meeting venue such as rich tourism resources are displayed by the local governments (Kanagawa Prefecture and the City of Yokohama).  Green innovation activities of mainly midsized and small enterprises are exhibited by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).
