Visit to Japan by Mr. Matsuura, Director-General of UNESCO

Mr. Koichiro Matsuura, Director-General of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), will visit Japan from August 25 (Mon) to September 2 (Tue).
During his visit, Mr. Matsuura will attend UNU/UNESCO International Conference: “Globalization and Languages” to be held in the United Nations University on August 27 (Wed) and 28 (Thu). Mr. Matsuura will also pay a courtesy call on leading figures of the Government of Japan.
It is expected that Mr. Matsuura’s visit to Japan will further enhance the cooperative relationship between Japan and UNESCO.
