Mr. Shintaro Ito, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs, to Host Reception to Support International Activities by Local Governments in Japan

  1. Mr. Shintaro Ito, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs, will host a reception to support the international activities by local governments at Iikura House, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from 18:30 to 20:00 of November 19 (Wed).
     
  2. The reception will be attended by the Governors of local governments in Japan, the Diplomatic Corps in Tokyo, and others.  The attendants will exchange views on international activities based on Sister/Friendship city partnerships of local governments and promotion of international exchanges at the local level.
     
  3. Local governments that wish to demonstrate their attractions to the Diplomatic Corps will show regional specialties in the exhibition space at the reception venue.
     
  4. This reception is part of the wide-ranging cooperative efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to encourage various international activities by local governments.
