Holding of the “GAIKO Forum in Sendai – 120-minute Discussions with Foreign Minister Taro Aso”

  1. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will hold the “GAIKO Forum in Sendai – 120- minute Discussions with Foreign Minister Taro Aso” from 2:00 p.m. on June 10 (Sun) at the Sendai International Center (Aobayama, Aoba-ku, Sendai City) with the cooperation of Miyagi Prefecture and Sendai City.

  2. Mr. Taro Aso, Minister for Foreign Affairs, will attend this event, deliver a keynote lecture on the theme “Four Pillars of Japanese Diplomacy” and hold a dialogue with the participants.

  3. Arrangements are also being made to hold a “Diplomatic Week” in Miyagi Prefecture before or after the above event to give lectures on diplomacy.

  4. The registration of participants for the “GAIKO Forum in Sendai” will be conducted through such means as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website from May 8 (Tue) to June 4 (Mon).  Applications will be accepted by e-mail, fax or postal mail on a first-come-first-served basis (the registration will be closed as soon as the capacity of 800 persons is filled).
