Kansai Promotion Seminar for the Diplomatic Corps in Tokyo by Local Governments in the Kansai area

  1. On April 26 (Thu), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will organize and host ‘Kansai Promotion Seminar’ for the Diplomatic Corps in Tokyo, conducted by the local governments etc. in the Kansai area, concerning the area’s further exchange programmes with foreign countries, trade promotion, encouragement for foreign investment in the Kansai area, support for the establishment of consulates general and other matters.

  2. The Seminar will be attended by officials and representatives from the local governments in Kansai area, the Kansai Economic Federation (KEF), the Kansai International Airport(see below), and others from the diplomatic corps in Tokyo.

  3. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been making various efforts to activate the local governments and to promote partnership with local areas, and the hosting this seminar is a part of such efforts.
