Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi to Visit European Countries

- Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi will leave Tokyo on April 26 to visit the following European countries - the U.K., Spain, France, Germany and Greece - in this order, to exchange opinions on Japan-Europe relations and the international situation including the situation in Iraq. He will come back to Japan on May 3.
- Mr. Koizumi will have talks with the leaders of each country. In Greece, the EU presidency holder, he will have the 12th Japan-EU Summit meeting with Mr. Constantinos Simitis, Prime Minister of Greece, and Mr. Romano Prodi, President of the European Commission, to exchange views on Japan-EU relations, the international situation, and other matters.
