Visit to Japan of His Excellency President Kim Dae-jung of the Republic of Korea and Mrs. Kim Dae-jung

1. His Excellency Mr. Kim Dae-jung, President of the Republic of Korea, and Mrs. Kim Dae-jung will visit Japan from June 30 (Sun) to July 2 (Tue).

2. During their stay in Japan, the President and Mrs. Kim will attend the final match and the closing ceremony of the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan.

3. The President and Mrs. Kim will make a call on Their Majesties The Emperor and Empress of Japan on July 2 and will attend a Court Luncheon hosted by Their Majesties The Emperor and Empress in their honor. The President will also hold a meeting with Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi on July 1 and will attend a Dinner hosted by Prime Minister Koizumi in honor of the President and Mrs. Kim.
