Visit to Japan by His Excellency Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (Announcement by the Press Secretary/Director-General for Press and Public Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs)

His Excellency Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, accompanied by a suite, will pay an official working visit to Japan from 21 to 24 May 2001.
   During his stay in Japan, President Obasanjo will make a state call on His Majesty The Emperor of Japan.
   His Majesty The Emperor will host a Court Luncheon in honor of the President.
   President Obasanjo will also meet Mr. Junichiro Koizumi, Prime Minister of Japan.
   Prime Minister Koizumi will host a dinner in honor of the President.
   The Government of Japan sincerely welcomes the visit of President Obasanjo, which will further strengthen the friendly relations existing between Japan and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
